Open Positions

As a Kids City Intern, you’ll play a vital role in Sunday services and beyond. You’ll help lead our Summer Blast (VBS-style event), assist with strategic planning meetings, and contribute to creating an engaging, fun, and impactful environment for children. Throughout the internship, you’ll grow deeper in your faith, develop leadership skills, and gain hands-on experience in teaching, coordinating activities, and nurturing relationships with kids. This is a chance to invest in the next generation while expanding your ministry potential.

As a Communications Intern, you’ll use creativity and innovation to help share the story of what God is doing at Hope City Church. You’ll capture photos and videos, create content for social media and the website, and support storytelling through digital and print media. You’ll develop practical skills in communication strategy, branding, and marketing—all while using your talents to advance the mission of the church. This is your chance to sharpen your creative abilities and be a part of reaching people for Jesus in powerful, practical ways.

As a Worship Intern, you’ll dive into the heart of what makes our weekend services life-changing. You’ll be part of planning meetings, develop your personal skills, assist in building and equipping teams, and help create powerful moments of worship that lead people into the presence of God. You’ll have the opportunity to grow both spiritually and musically, gaining valuable insight into what it takes to lead worship at a high level. This internship will sharpen your gifts, develop your leadership, and give you practical experience in real ministry settings.

As a Production Intern, you’ll experience the fast-paced, behind-the-scenes world that helps make weekend services happen. You’ll work with lighting, audio, video production, and live broadcasting to our other campuses, online ministry, and TV ministry. It’s techy, hands-on, and a whole lot of fun—with a "first in, last out" mentality that builds character and teamwork. You’ll learn how to operate equipment, troubleshoot under pressure, and create excellent environments where people encounter God. This is the perfect opportunity to grow your technical skills while making a real impact.

As an Outreach Intern, you’ll help lead the way in reaching our Cedar Falls community with the love of Jesus through practical service and relational ministry. You’ll assist with planning and participating in local outreach events, support SERVE THE CITY initiatives, and help develop creative strategies to build bridges between our church and the community. Through hands-on experiences, you’ll grow in leadership, compassion, and practical ministry skills—learning what it means to be a church in, of, and for the city.

As a Dream Center Intern, you’ll dive into the heart of outreach ministry in Waterloo through the Cedar Valley Dream Center. You’ll gain experience serving in ongoing programs like the Food Pantry, Community Meals, and Prison Reentry programs, helping meet real needs and bring hope to the city. You’ll also help organize large events like SERVE THE CITY and support strategic initiatives that impact individuals and families in life-changing ways. This internship will stretch your leadership, deepen your compassion, and equip you to make a lasting difference in your community.

As a Student Ministries Intern, you’ll play a key role in shaping the next generation. You’ll help plan and prepare for the upcoming fall semester, assist with creating strategies to keep students connected and growing during the summer break, and support summer gatherings. Through hands-on experience, you’ll deepen your leadership skills, strengthen your ability to disciple students, and learn how to create engaging, life-giving environments where students can know God, find community, and discover purpose. This is an opportunity to invest in young lives while growing your ministry capacity.
